What we collect and why

  • Orders: name, address, e-mail, phone number, what you bought and payment status. We use this to deliver your order, handle returns and complaints, and answer your questions. Legal basis: performance of the contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Bookkeeping: order and invoice data is kept as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act. Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Contact and retailer enquiries: the information you send us through the contact forms or by e-mail. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Use of the website: technical information such as IP address, device and pages viewed, collected through cookies. Necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a working and secure shop; statistics and marketing cookies are only set with your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). We do not collect sensitive personal data and we do not use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal effects for you.

Who receives your data

We only share your data where it is needed to run the shop:

  • Shopify, which hosts the shop and processes orders and payments on our behalf
  • payment providers, to complete your payment
  • UPS and our shipping software, to deliver your parcel
  • providers of e-mail, customer service and accounting systems
  • public authorities, where the law requires it

These companies act as our data processors or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We never sell your personal data.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our providers, including Shopify, may process data outside the EU/EEA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

  • Order and invoice data: five years from the end of the financial year the order belongs to
  • Enquiries: up to two years after the case is closed
  • Cookie data: see the cookie policy

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have incorrect data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to hello@warmandcomfy.com to use your rights; we answer within one month.

Complaints

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, datatilsynet.dk, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
